Relaxed Flying
Come on board fully relaxed and then just lean back… thanks to tips from Linda Föhrer, cabin service director and certified psychologist.
Calm down your check-in
Here's how:
- Before you leave for the airport, double-check that you have all the necessary travel documents (ticket or reservation number, personal ID card or passport, driver's license if you need it).
- Plan in some extra time, for security checks and so on
- Make sure to note the deadlines for checking in
- Remember: Scissors, nail files, pocketknives etc. are not permitted in your carry-on. You are now only allowed to bring small quantities of liquids, that is, containers with a maximum capacity of 100 ml each (examples: shampoos, creams, beverages and so on). The containers must be placed in a plastic bag with a maximum capacity of 1 liter.

Lean back and relax
Here's how:
- Drink plenty of fluids. The air on the plane is extremely dry. We recommend that you bring a bottle of water with you in addition to using the beverage service on board. You can purchase this bottle of water at the airport after the carry-on screening.
- Travel in comfortable, non-restrictive clothing. Comfortable shoes and thicker socks will keep your feet warm during the flight.
- Bring warm clothing or a small blanket with you into the cabin. Some passengers feel that the air-conditioning on board is a bit cool.
- Audiobooks, relaxing music or your favorite songs will make time fly by.
- If you bring a travel pillow and a sleeping mask, you will find sleeping on the plane more comfortable.
- If you have a cold, apply some nose drops before take-off, and drink more than usual. This will keep your nose clear, and it will be easier for your ears to compensate for the pressure change during take-off and landing.
- If you don't feel well, you should let your Condor flight attendants know. They have medication that may be able to help you.
- An airplane sometimes shakes or makes unfamiliar noises. That is perfectly normal and no reason for you to worry. If you have questions, just ask your Condor flight attendants; they will be happy to explain what is going on.
